Cottage Overview

A charming 2 bedroom upside-down house in the North Devon countryside sleeping 4 people. Higher Meadow is surrounded by stunning scenic walks across farm tracks and grand open fields. The 2 bedroom North Devon cottage is perfect for families or friends looking for a quiet escape, only 30 minutes from the beach and a short walk frim the village pub.

The entrance of Higher Meadow opens to the foyer with the twin bedroom to your right and the master bedroom to your left, the ground floor family bathroom is found to the left of the stairs. The master bedroom has ample space with a king-sized bed, bedside tables, a large set of drawers with a mirror above and large French doors which open to the front of the house. The twin bedroom has 2 full sized single beds which can be made into a double bed upon request, the free standing wardrobe has plenty of space for your clothes. The ground floor family bathroom has a large walk in shower, a roll top bath, a w/c and a large mirror running above the sink.

The stairs leading to the first floor guide you to the kitchen to your right and the open plan living room & dining area to your left. The open plan space has a dining table suitable for four people and ample living room seating with 2x2 seater sofas and a comfortable chair facing the TV. The spacious kitchen has a sink, an electric oven and hob, a washing machine, a dish washer, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee machine, a kettle and windows to the garden.

Please note there is a table tennis table in the garden available upon request. Parking is off street.

About Goodleigh

Higher Meadowis located just half a mile outside the small village of Goodleigh that boasts a popular village inn serving excellent food and local ales, as well as many stunning countryside walks that surround the village. The larger town of Barnstaple is only a 10 minute drive away, where you’ll find supermarkets, cinema, theatre, plenty of places to eat as well as a pannier market and a number of independent shops. Within a 30 minute drive, you can reach the coast. Choose from the pretty seaside villages of Instow and Appledore, or the excellent beaches at Westward Ho! or Saunton Sands. Its fabulous central location means that you can also easily explore the local area and beyond, including Exmoor National Park or local attractions for the kids such as The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park or Broomhill Art Hotel and Sculpture Gardens.
