Sole Bay

Set in the heart of Croyde, on the North Devon coast, Sole Bay is the perfect family holiday destination. This amazing 4 bedroom family house, can sleep six adults and 2 children, in two large double bedrooms and a fun children's bunk bedroom.

The house is only a short, 5-minute walk into the centre of the popular surfing village of Croyde, with all its lively pubs and restaurants. The amazing beach at Croyde is also only a short stroll away and the long sandy beaches at Saunton and Putsborough and a 5-minute drive away.

The large kitchen is situated on the ground floor and is fitted with integrated appliances, including an electric oven and hob, a fridge-freezer, and a dishwasher. The worktops are made from stunning white marble, giving the kitchen a beautiful bright and contemporary feel. There is a table and 4 chairs plus a handy breakfast bar with two stools. A washer-dryer can be found under the stairs.

One double bedroom is located just off the kitchen on a mezzanine floor, via a ladder, for safety reasons this is only suitable for anyone over 14. The cosy, cabin-style double bedroom, has a bright Velux window, which on a clear night offers amazing starry skies and if you're lucky the sounds of local wildlife.

Also on the ground floor is a modern shower room with a large drop-head shower, this room can also be accessed from the garden, perfect after a day on the beach.

There is a large living area with two sofas, one large “L” shaped and a cosy two-seater, perfect for snuggling up in front of the wood burner and large TV. There are also plenty of board games for family entertainment after an action-packed day around Croyde.

There is a sunny conservatory off the lounge via patio doors, which has a large dining table and 8 chairs, perfect for family meals and the BBQ outside.

On the second floor, are the two large double bedrooms, with king-size beds and plenty of storage, these overlook the front of the house. To the rear of the house is a fun children's bunk room with two single beds. The large family bathroom is also on this floor, which has a large bath with an overhead shower.

The sunny garden is home to a large Willow tree which provides needed shade on a sunny day. There is a lovely terrace with a table and chairs, ideal for some al fresco dining and BBQ. Beyond the terrace is a large sloped lawn, perfect for the children to play safely.

There is no parking at the property but there is a large village car park just 160m from the house by the village hall.

Once guests have arrived and settled in at Sole Bay there is very little need to leave the area. Croyde has a selection of wonderful pubs, like The Thatch and The Manor as well as some award winning restaurants.

The beach at Croyde has Life Guards in the peak Summer weeks and offers some of the best surfing in the UK, surf lessons can be arranged. There are also some great coastal walks, out to Baggy Point and all the way to Woolacombe if you feel more adventurous.
