Surrounded by beautiful rolling Devon countryside, The Byre is a stunning barn conversion which sleeps 6 in three lovely bedrooms. It is set on the edge of the popular North Devon village of Goodleigh and is a short walk to the renowned pub The New Inn, famous for good food, ale and lively atmosphere. The cottage is perfectly located to enjoy the delights of North Devon being almost exactly 20 minutes drive from the wilds of Exmoor or the long , sandy beaches at Saunton Sands. So the family can enjoy a great day on the beach and then escape the crowds and retreat to your own piece of Devon heaven. You can easily reach the coast at Saunton, Croyde and Putsborough one way or across to Westward Ho! and the pretty villages of Appledore and Instow in the other direction. There is plenty for the children to do if they need a break from the beach with amusement parks like The Milky Way, The Big Sheep and The Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinasaur Park all nearby. The cottage is only 3 miles from the main town of Barnstaple which has great shops, restaurants and pubs as well as a multi-screen cinema and 6 indoor tennis courts at Tarka Tennis. For golfing enthusiasts there are two world class courses at Westward Ho! and Saunton Sands. The beaches offer fantastic surfing, wind-surfing and kite-surfing and coastline and Exmoor provide some of the best walks in the world, so there really is something for everyone.
The cottage has a large double bedroom, with en-suite bathroom with a large bath and hand-held shower, sink and wc. There is a bunk room for the kids and a twin with two large single beds. Next to the twin bedroom is a family bathroom with a shower, sink and wc.
The cottage has an open plan look and feel separated by a couple of low steps from kitchen to the dining area and then down again to the lounge. The kitchen is well equipped with a washer-dryer, dish-washer, micro-wave, fridge-freezer and electric hob and oven. The dining area has a large pine table and 6 chairs with a dresser and patio-doors that open onto the private garden.Then it's just 3 steps down to the lounge with two large sofas and slate coffee table along with a flat-screen TV and DVD.
Outside there is a private garden with a table and chairs and in the corner is another garden which is fenced in so ideal for letting the dog out but it is only small. It is also where the BBQ is kept and a table and benches.
Kitchen area: Electric oven with hob, large American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and dining table with seating for four.
Dining area: Dining table with chairs for 6 people
Living area: Sofas, flat screen TV, DVD player and Wii games console.
Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with king-size bed with en-suite bathroom (with bath and hand-held shower, WC and wash basin)
Bedroom 2: Bunk bedroom with two full size single beds
Bedroom 3: Twin bedroom with two full size single beds
Family bathroom: with electric power-shower, wash basin and WC.
Please note: There are small steps between each of the living spaces.

The charming 3 bedroom barn conversion, The Byre, is situated on the edge of Goodleigh a quiet North Devon village 3 miles from Barnstaple. The economic and social centre of North Devon is the old market town of Barnstaple, dating back to Viking times when the Norsemen men rowed up the river and built a settlement. The town is full of great restaurants, pubs and shops as well as a multi-screen cinema and indoor tennis centre at Tarka Tennis. From Barnstaple you can travel towards the North Devon coast and the stunning sandy beaches at Saunton and Croyde. The Tarka Trail runs through Barnstaple so you can cycle to the beach at Saunton or Instow.
