Recently renovated to an exceptionally high standard, Goodleigh Cottage has been thoughtfully furnished and finished to offer guests wonderful ‘home from home’ accommodation in a fantastic rural location. Situated in the heart of the village of Goodleigh, close to Barnstaple in North Devon, Goodleigh Cottage is perfect for couples, friends and families wishing to experience the very best of what North Devon has to offer. The village itself has a fantastic pub, and plenty of walks right on your doorstep, whilst the larger town of Barnstaple, the North Devon coast, Exmoor and numerous family attractions are all within easy reach.
Inside the cottage, the ground floor features three stylishly presented bedrooms, and a family bathroom. The bedrooms include a master bedroom featuring a king-size sleigh bed, plenty of storage space, and its own en-suite shower room. The second bedroom is a double bedroom with a standard double bed, and the final bedroom is a twin room with two full size single beds, and a 19” LCD TV, perfect for the kids. The family bathroom is fitted with a bath, separate shower, wash basin and WC.
Upstairs, the first floor has been designed to create a real ‘wow’ factor and to make the most of the incredible views of the surrounding countryside and beyond. A bright, light and spacious open plan living space with a high vaulted beamed ceiling exudes plenty of style combined with character charm. Discover a bright feature wall, chandelier light, stylish sofas and armchairs, as well as a smart TV and PlayStation 4 in the lounge area. A fantastic spot to relax after enjoyable days exploring.
A large dining table with plenty of seating provides a delightful dining space for leisurely suppers, and the kitchen is fitted with all your up-to-date modern day appliances. These include an integrated oven, induction hob, combi-microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer, as well as a coffee machine. You can even grab a quick cuppa at the breakfast bar, or chat with the chef over a glass of wine whilst preparing meals.
Huge double doors from the lounge area open out on a private decking area, where you will discover plenty of outdoor seating, more fabulous views, and it’s own climbing wall*. Outdoor games have also been provided.
