The Shippon

A stylish and spacious two bedroom countryside cottage with private hot tub, perfect for couples and small families looking to explore North Devon and Exmoor. The Shippon at Park View Farm has recently been finished to a very high standard, and offers a fantastic base to enjoy days out to the beach, with the award winning beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton all less than a 20 minute drive away. Exmoor National Park is also nearby, as well as numerous local family attractions, including Exmoor Zoo, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, National Trust Arlington Court to name a few.

Throughout, The Shippon is beautifully presented and furnished to an exceptional standard with luxury and comfort in mind. There is just one small step as you enter the property into its hallway, where you can store coats and boots, but then the accommodation for this dog friendly self catering property is arranged over one level.  A light and contemporary furnished spacious living room features two large stylish sofas and a comfy armchair, wall-mounted smart TV, as well as a Sony Playstation, a fantastic place to retreat together in the evenings. The kitchen/diner is fitted with sleek modern white units, and well-equipped to cater for a self-catering holiday. Appliances include an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and coffee machine. A handy utility cupboard in the hallway is home to a washing machine, hand-held steamer, and airer. The kitchen also offers a great space for family suppers around the dining table with plenty of seating.

Two stylish bedrooms comfortably accommodate up to four guests. There is a spacious well-presented master bedroom with a king-sized bed, plenty of storage and an en-suite shower room, fitted with shower, wash basin and WC. The second bedroom is a lovely twin room, with a TV, two full size single beds and wardrobe. There is a separate family bathroom, fitted with a bath and shower overhead, wash basin and WC.

Outside, there is a charming enclosed outdoor courtyard with pretty solar fairy lights, and the added benefit of its own hot tub under cover, a real luxury for relaxing after enjoyable days exploring, no matter the weather. An outdoor table and chairs, and BBQ have been provided for dining ‘al-fresco’ style. 

At the front of the property, there is also off road parking for 1-2 cars a Zappi EV charging station is available for a fee, please speak to owners upon arrival regarding the price. For those holidaying with infants, a travel cot and high chair can be provided at no extra charge, please request at time of booking.
