The Milking Parlour at Cheristow Farm

The Milking Parlour, converted from one of the original farm buildings, has been thoughtfully renovated and furnished to offer high quality, comfortable accommodation for couples, friends and small families to holiday in this wonderfully remote part of Devon.
Tucked away in tranquil North Devon countryside, close to the border with Cornwall, the cottages at Cheristow Farm are set in quiet countryside, with lovely views to the coast.
The Milking Parlour is a single storey cottage that comfortably sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, combining rustic charm with modern comfort. The spacious lounge has a beamed ceiling, an inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, a sofa,  two armchairs and a TV with Freeview which makes it a lovely space for relaxing after days out walking and enjoying the local area. There are also French doors that lead out into a private enclosed garden with outdoor furniture and great views across farmland to the sea beyond. A real benefit for those holidaying with young children is that the garden gives directly onto the large, shared play area.

The compact, charming kitchen is well equipped for a self-catering holiday. There’s a fridge/freezer, an electric oven with hob, washing machine, a microwave, and a dishwasher. The pine table seats 4. The two bedrooms at The Milking Parlour are a double and a twin. The twin bedroom has zip and link beds so it can also be made up as a super king-sized bed. The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, a wash basin and WC.

The Milking Parlour is a dog-friendly cottage, where two dogs are welcome, by arrangement.

Guests staying at Cheristow Farm Cottages are welcome to book the shared spa room - with its hot tub and sauna - for private use. Also available for guests is the large picnic and children’s play area with great views of the countryside and the sea beyond. Children are also welcome to help the owners feed the chickens and ducks (pigs too, sometimes) in the mornings.
