Dolly's barn was just the perfect place to spend a family holiday together, there was room for us all to chill and the grandchildren to play. The outside play area was fantastic for us all to spend a few hours enjoying a glass of wine and watching the kids play together. The owners were lovely and friendly to us all, We all had the best holiday ever, and would highly recommend Dolly's Barn. Thank you so much.
Overlooking the North Devon coast, Dolly’s Barn is one of the three self-catering cottages at Higher Mullacott Farm situated between Woolacombe and Ilfracombe.
Set around a pretty courtyard, Dolly’s Barn is a spacious six bedroom barn conversion which accommodates up to 11 and offers the perfect base for gathering large groups for family holidays and special breaks.
Renovated to a high standard and thoughtfully furnished throughout, Dolly’s Barn offers guests a wonderful mix of period charm with comfort and modern day conveniences. A spacious and bright open plan living/dining and kitchen area creates an inviting space for guests to cook, dine and relax together. A comfy lounge, purposefully designed for gathering large groups together features three comfy sofas and armchair around an LPG wood burner and a wall-mounted smart TV with separate DVD/CD player. A large dining table seats 10 and provides a lovely space for gathering everyone together for a special meal together or a leisurely breakfast.
Located at the end of this inviting open plan living space, the kitchen includes a large range electric oven with gas hobs, a dishwasher, a washing machine, two fridges and a freezer, perfect for catering for a large group on a self-catering holiday.
On the ground floor, there is also a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, ideal for grandparents or less mobile guests. The other five bedrooms are on the first floor and include an elegant master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite shower room, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, two twin bedrooms and a single bedroom.
Outside, there is a private dining area with picnic tables and a built in BBQ. Guests are also welcome to explore the 3.5 acres of communal gardens, children’s play area and table tennis.

The bustling seaside town of Ilfracombe on the North Devon coast is home to a fantastic array of seaside attractions, gift shops, tea rooms, ice cream parlours, fish and chip shops and excellent restaurants, including a Michelin awarded restaurant. With the arrival of “Verity”, Damien Hirst’s statue on its pretty working harbour, there have an increasing number of art galleries in the town and a new ‘art trail’ taking place in May. In the busy summer month, tourist flock towards the quay, lined with gift shops, fish and chip shops, bars and restaurants and are treated to an interesting array of events within the town, including The South West Bird Man, All Things Morris. The coastline around Ilfracombe is spectacular and popular with walkers of all abilities. For days at the beach, the stunning North Devon beaches of Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde are within a short drive from Ilfracombe. For the kids, there are also plenty of local family attractions including an aquarium, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo to name a few.
