Duror Cottage at Lower Aylescott Cottages is a wonderful three-bedroom cottage offering a wonderful mix of charm with modern day style to offer a fantastic ‘home-from-home’ choice for friends and families within easy reach of the popular North Devon coastal resorts of Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Combe Martin.
A spacious open plan living features exposed stone work, two comfy sofas, TV and a wood burning stove, ideal for those cooler evenings. There is also a dining area with plenty of space for up to 6 guests and a well-equipped kitchen has all your modern-day conveniences including an oven, fridge, washer/dryer, microwave and dishwasher. On the first floor, there are three good-sized bedrooms, two double bedrooms (both with king-sized beds) and a twin bedroom,which all share the family bathroom.
Outside, a private terrace has enough seating for everyone to relax and enjoy the wonderful countryside views and fishing lakes.
Guests are very welcome to use the two fishing lakes that are well-stocked with carp, tench and rudd that guests can fish with a rod licence and their own rods. Guests can also explore its extensive grounds, where there is also plenty of grassed lawn for children to play safely and i also includes an outdoor children’s play area.

The six cottages at Lower Aylescott are in a lovely quiet countryside setting, just outside the small village of West Down in North Devon but are still very close to the coast. The popular beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton are all just a short drive away and are excellent choice for surfers and families. The seaside town of Ilfracombe has its seafront attractions, historic ‘Tunnel Beaches’, Damien Hirst’s Verity sculpture and a fabulous choice of tearooms, cafes and good-quality restaurants. Exmoor National Park is also nearby and offers plenty of opportunity for some excellent walks in some stunning scenery. There are a number of local attractions including Ilfracombe Aquarium, Arlington Court, Exmoor Zoo, Watermouth Castle close by to suit everyone.
